Minister Counselor Cen Jianjun Visits George Washington University

On April 5, Minister Counselor Cen Jianjun visited George Washington University (GWU) and met with President Steven Knapp.


Minister Counselor Cen expressed his appreciation for President Knapp's continuous support to China-U.S. People to People Exchanges and his contribution to educational cooperation between the two sides. He stressed that he would continue to promote the bilateral People to People Exchanges and facilitate the collaboration between Chinese and American higher education institutions.


President Knapp welcomes Minister Cen to Washington D.C. as a new Minister Counselor. He extended his gratitude for the consistent support Chinese Embassy has been offering to the establishment and running of the Confucius Institute in GWU. President Knapp also briefed Mr. Cen with the status quo of the cooperation between GWU and China and his vision on GWU academic development, then showed Mr. Cen to the labs of the Science and Engineering and Confucius Institute in GWU.


Minister Counselor Cen also visited and talked with Chinese teachers and students representatives who are working or studying in George Washington University.
