Counselor Xu Min Paid A Working Visit to Tennessee

On April 12, 2016, Counselor Xu Min, First Secretary Jia Xi, of the Congressional and Sub-national Affairs Office of the Chinese Embassy in the United States, paid a working visit to Nashville, the capital city of the State of Tennessee. During the visit, Xu met with Mr. Bill Haslam, the Governor of Tennessee; Mr. Ron Ramsey, the Lt. Governor and the Speaker of the Senate of Tennessee and Ms. Beth Harwell, the Speaker of the House of Tennessee respectively. They had a deep exchange of views on how to promote the friendly relationship between Tennessee and China, expand the practical cooperation, strengthen the communication between the local legislature bodies of both sides and explore the possibility of building up a partnership between the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and its Chinese counterparts, etc.

 

Counselor Xu said, the Chinese government places great importance on the sub-national cooperation between our two countries. We deeply appreciate the endeavors of the leadership of Tennessee in advancing our relationships and wish to work closely with you to uplift it to a new level in the future.
