Chinese Diplomats Talk with Tulane Alumni

0n October 13, 2016, a group of alumni of Tulane University visited Chinese Embassy in Washington DC and joined a panel discussion with the Chinese diplomats.


During the discussion, Counselor Tang Zhiwen, Counselor Lyu Jin, Second Secretary Guan Xin of the Embassy briefed the guests on China-US relations, China’s economic situation and China-US people-to-people exchanges respectively. They also answered questions raised by the audience regarding China-US cooperation and competition in international arena, climate change and etc.

The guests found the discussion, held in a lively atmosphere, very helpful and inspiring, adding a new perspective for their understanding of China’s diplomacy and US-China relations.



The discussion was moderated by Ms. Fang Hong, Press Counselor and Spokesperson of the Embassy. She said at the opening remarks that dialogues and exchanges are of great importance to the cementing of mutual understanding and friendship between peoples of the two countries. The Embassy is always ready to serve as the bridge.


After the discussion, the guests toured the chancery building and some artworks of the Embassy.

The event was co-organized by the Chinese Embassy in Washington DC and Tulane Alumni DC.
