Minister-Counselor Zhang Min briefed the U.S. Congressional Staff delegations before they visit China

On July 26, 2017, Minister-Counselor Zhang Min went to the Capitol Hill to brief the U.S. Congressional Staff delegations organized by the U.S.-Asia Foundation before they visit China.

In his briefing, Minister-Counselor Zhang conveyed Ambassador Cui Tiankai's welcome to the U.S. Congressional Staff delegations to China, and commended the U.S.-Asia Foundation for its tremendous efforts in promoting exchanges and cooperation between the U.S. Congress and China. Zhang gave a brief introduction on China's national conditions, China-U.S. relations, especially its important and positive progress made due to the concerted efforts of the two sides since President Donald Trump took office. Zhang also briefed about the first round of the Diplomatic and Security Dialogue and the Comprehensive Economic Dialogue (CED) held successively not long ago.

General Quick, President of the U.S.-Asia Foundation, presided over the briefing. More than 20 Congressional staffers from some important members of the U.S. Congress attended the briefing.
