National Day celebrations to be on live broadcast (09/30/09)

 

BEIJING, Sept. 30 (Xinhua) -- China's major national radios, TV channels and websites will give the live broadcast of the celebrations to mark the 60th founding anniversary of the People's Republic of China on Oct. 1.

China Central Television (CCTV)'s 13 channels in both Chinese and foreign languages are to begin the broadcast at 9:47:30 a.m.

Chinese President Hu Jintao, who is also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, and chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC), is to deliver a speech before the military parade and mass pageant.

CCTV's live broadcast will renew at 7:53 p.m. to show the National Day gala in the square.

China Radio, China Radio International and other China's state news portals will join the live broadcast simultaneously.
