Building a cooperative partnership based on mutual respect and mutual benefit is in the common interests of the people of our countries. After signing the China-U.S. Air Transport Agreement in 1980, the air transportation market between the two countries has grown significantly and benefited both sides. There is a bright prospect for the China and U.S. to cooperate in the field of civil aviation. This Forum will deepen the understanding and communications and advance the mutually beneficial development of air transport between China and U.S.

The China-U.S. Aviation Forum was set up in 2000 and now has become the most influential platform for both sides in the aviation sector. The 6th Forum was held from September 26 to 27 in Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Nearly one hundred representatives from the two governments, air transportation and manufacturing companies, airports and relevant associations presented at the forum and discussed significant issues regarding air transport with each other.
