Chinese Embassy Spokesperson Mr. Wang Baodong Responds to a Question by the Wall Street Journal Regarding Allegations of China Spying on the U.S.

Recently, the U.S. counterintelligence agencies arrested a group of Russian spys in the U.S. A U.S. official said the Chinese have also been "relentless" in spying on the U.S., and have dispatched agents who make little effort to cover their tracks and often draw the attention of U.S. officials. What's your comment on that? (the Wall Street Journal)

China never engages itself in activities that endanger other countries' security interests. I would repeat that allegations of China conducting spying activities against the U.S. are unfounded and out of interior motives, such fabrications are unacceptable and there should be no more, so as to better facilitate mutual trust between China and the U.S. and increase friendship between our two peoples.
