The Chinese Embassy in the United States and the Consulate-General in Los Angeles attach great importance to this incident and have made solemn representations to the U.S. State Department, demanding that necessary actions be taken immediately to ensure the safety and security of the compound and personnel of the Consulate-General. The U.S. government pledged to take necessary measures promptly to address this serious incident, and will keep in close communications with the Chinese side on the future its development.
