Ambassador Cui Tiankai attended the XXI Annual Food Festival of the Americas

The XXI Annual Food Festival of the Americas, hosted by the Organization of Women of the Americas, was held at the headquarters of the Organization of the American States (OAS) on May 19. H.E.Cui Tiankai, Ambassador of China to the United States of America and Permanent Observer of China to the OAS, attended the opening ceremony of the Food Festival and had cordial conversations with Nestor Mendez, Assistant Secretary General of OAS, as well as the representatives of member states of the Organization. Assistant Secretary General Mendez highly appreciated the long-term  support of China to the OAS.

The Annual Food Festival of the Americas has been a very important platform for the OAS member states and the permanent observer missions to show their special cuisines and traditional culture. It is a valuable opportunity for the American people and the OAS member states as well as the permanent observers to know more about each other. This has been the 11th year for the Embassy of China to participate in this annual cultural event. The chefs of the Embassy served traditional Chinese food, and young performers from the O-mei Wushu Center presented a wonderful Dragon Dance and Kung Fu show during the event. The Chinese food and performance were warmly welcomed by local people.
