2015/11/05

On 3 November 2015, Ambassador Cui Tiankai, Military Attaché Major General Xu Nanfeng and Consul General of Chinese Consulate-General in Huston Li Qiangmin welcomed Escort Taskforce 152 of Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) at the US Naval Station Mayport in Jacksonville, Florida. Ambassador Cui attended the welcome ceremony held by US Navy and talked with US military and government officials and people from the Chinese community who attended the ceremony.

Ambassador Cui pointed out that China-US mil-to-mil relationship, including relations between the two navies, enjoys sound development momentum. It lays solid foundation for the building of a new model of major country relationship and mil-to-mil relationship between China and the U.S.. The visit by the PLAN Fleet and its exchanges with US Navy Region Southeast is a good demonstration of the ever-deepening China-US mil-to-mil relationship. With expanding common interests, deepening exchanges and cooperation should be the mainstream and overall direction of China-US relationship.
