Minister Lu Kang Attends American Summit Forum for China's Peaceful Reunification & Annual Meeting of CPRAUS

On November 2, Minister Lu Kang attended the American Summit Forum for China's Peaceful Reunification & Annual Meeting of China Peaceful Reunification Association of United States (CPRAUS) held in San Francisco. Themed as "broaden the cross-Strait relations with new vision, new concept and new acts", the event was held by CPRAUS and the Chinese for Peaceful Unification-North California.

In his remarks, Minister Lu stated that, as cross-Strait relations enter a new stage and continue to deepen, Chinese people at home and abroad are looking forward to making continued efforts to promote the peaceful development of the cross-Strait relations. He expressed the hope that both sides of the Straits could look at future cross-Strait ties with a broader view, approach the relations from the viewpoint of the overall interests of the Chinese nation, remove the barriers in the way of cross-Strait relations with greater courage, and work creatively to open up a new page in the peaceful development of cross-Strait relations. Minister Lu encouraged overseas Chinese from both sides of the Straits to come together and play a unique and positive role in further promoting the peaceful development of cross-Strait relations.
