Minister Wu Xi Holds Reception in honor of US-China Peoples Friendship Association

Minister Wu Xi of the Chinese Embassy holds a reception in honor of US-China Peoples Friendship Association (USCPFA) at the Embassy on April 24, 2014, with participation of representatives from 15 USCPFA chapters.

On behalf of Ambassador Cui Tiankai, Minister Wu Xi extends the warmest congratulations to USCPFA on its 40th anniversary, highly commending the important role it has played in promoting mutual understanding and cultivating friendship between the Chinese and American peoples. Minister Wu expresses her hope that, on the tremendous progress achieved in China-US relations in the past four decades, the two peoples will continue to enhance mutual trust, strengthen friendship, expand exchanges and work together to build a new model of major country relationship free of conflict and confrontation and based on mutual respect and win-win cooperation.

Reviewing the association's 40-year course, USCPFA President Diana Greer is proud of the association's involvement in the development of US-China relationship. She expresses the commitment of further facilitating American and Chinese peoples to join their hands and move forward on the bridge of friendship for decades to come.

The USCPFA holds its 21st Washington Seminar on US-China Relations and celebrates its 40th anniversary of founding in DC on April 24-25, 2014.
