On March 17, Minister Jing Quan attended the Embassy Speaker Series Event held by the US-China Business Council. The event was moderated by USCBC President Craig Allen, and held in a hybrid way of both in-person and online meeting, with more than 60 participants from the US business community.

Minister Jing elaborated on China's basic position on developing China-US relations and promoting economic and trade cooperation and people-to-people contacts. He said that the two sides need to move in the same direction and fully implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state. China and the US should keep their communication channel open, continue to explore and expand practical cooperation, foster exchanges of visits between our two peoples, and enhance mutual understanding and trust, for the sake of improvement and development of bilateral relations. We hope the US business community will play an active and constructive role in this regard.

Minister Jing also exchanged views with the participants on climate change cooperation and traveling policy amid the pandemic.
