On September 22, Minister Xu Xueyuan met with Dr. Mildred García, the new President of California State University. The two sides discussed the ways to encourage American universities and educational institutions to give more actively support for Sino-U.S. people-to-people exchanges, including studying in each other’s country by Chinese and American students, more direct flights between the two countries, and revoking and avoiding policies and measures that hinder China-U.S. educational exchanges.

    Dr. García has served as President of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) since 2018 and will become the 11th President of California State University in October.
