SHANGHAI, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) -- Tu Guangshao and Ai Baojun were appointed vice mayors of Shanghai here on Thursday at a conference of the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Municipal People's Congress, the city's legislature.

    Tu, born in January 1959 in central China's Hubei Province, had served as the vice chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission before the appointment.

    Ai, born in February 1960 in northeast China's Liaoning Province, had been the general manager of Baosteel Group, China's largest steel maker.
