How to Make Donations for Earthquake Relief: Bulletin of the Chinese Embassy to the United States

Very recently, various circles of the United States have been paying great attention to the strong earthquake hitting China's Sichuan province. They have expressed their sympathy and encouragements to the Chinese government and people through different channels, of which the latter is very much appreciative. Quite a few friendly institutions and personages as well as American corporations want to know more about the natural disaster and the latest development of China battling the adverse situation. They also want to know what assistance and items the affected areas desiderate and how to provide such items and fund donations.

As is learnt, tents, quilts, food, drinking water, medicine and disinfector for environment and drinking water are in urgent need. But due to the fact that the transportations situation in the hit areas is still very poor, it's suggested that donations being made by cash. If relevant parties want to provide financial assistance, the fund donations can be remitted to the following two charity agencies and banks:

A, Beneficiary: China Charity Federation, A/C No. 00100914908091014; Bank: Bank of China (BOC), Beijing Office.

B, Beneficiary: Red Cross Society of China, A/C No. 7112111482600000209; Bank: Citic Industrial Bank, Beijing Jiuxianqiao Sub-branch.

The donations can also be remitted to this embassy. The embassy will deliver it to the relative authorities in China.
