Special report: Strong Earthquake Jolts SW China

    BEIJING, May 21 (Xinhua) -- Since large quantities of tents are still needed to shelter earthquake survivors, China once again called on the international community to make such donations a priority, the Foreign Ministry said here on Wednesday.

    Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said many countries and organizations had responded quickly to China's recent call for tents.

    "We are sincerely appreciative of that," Qin said.
