    BEIJING, May 21 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao said here on Wednesday that the May 12 earthquake had added new uncertain factors to the nation's economy but the fundamentals of the economy remain unchanged. 

    Earthquake won't have major impact on China's economy

    BEIJING, May 13 (Xinhua) -- The quake that shook southwest China was unlikely to have a major impact on the economy, experts said Tuesday.

    The earthquake would only affect economic activity in limited areas and some local industries in the short term, said Feng Fei, deputy director of the Research Department of Industrial Economy at the Development Research Center of the State Council (cabinet). Full Story
