Ambassador Zhang Yesui Attended the Opening Ceremony of 12th Washington Chinese Culture Festival

On October 2nd, Ambassador Zhang Yesui attended the opening ceremony of the 12th Washington Chinese Culture Festival and delivered remarks.

Ambassador Zhang pointed out that cultural exchanges brought hearts closer and built the bond for friendship. Chinese Culture Festival and other similar events had greatly boosted the cultural exchanges between China and the United States, and added a unique color to the diverse culture in the Greater Washington area. The devotion and endeavor of the Chinese and American people in building stronger cultural links over the years had come to fruition, and the cultural exchanges between China and the United States had been more robust and contributed to deepening mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples, thus creating stronger support and foundation for the growth of the overall China-US relations.

The Golden Sail Symphony Orchestra of Beijing 101 High School and performing arts groups in the Greater Washington area presented over 30 performances.

Minister Yang Zigang, Minister Counselor You Shaozhong, Counselor and Consul General Chen Xiongfeng were also present at the festival.
