BEIJING, April 24 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice Premier Wang Qishan and U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner on Tuesday discussed over phone the preparatory work for the upcoming economic talks under the framework of the China-U.S. Strategic and Economic Dialogue.

The fourth round of the China-U.S. Strategic and Economic Dialogue, a high-level consultation platform between the world's largest two economies, is to be held from May 3 to 4 in Beijing, according to the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
