China and the United States held Consultations on People-to-People Exchanges

On August 23, Vice Minister of Education Hao Ping, the Chinese coordinator of the Consultation on People-to-People Exchanges (CPE), and Under Secretary of State Judith McHale, the US coordinator of CPE, held consultations in Washington DC. The two sides reviewed the progress achieved since CPE was established in Beijing this May and had a friendly and productive talk on how to further promote people-to-people exchanges in the next stage.

Vice Minister Hao also met Secretary of Education Arne Duncan and exchanged views with Under Secretary of Education Martha Kanter and Assistant Secretary of State Ann Stock on further cooperation in the educational and cultural fields between China and the United States.
