On January 11, 2012, Wang Qishan, special representative of President Hu Jintao and Vice Premier of the State Council held the second work meeting with Timothy Geithner, special representative of US President Barack Obama and Treasury Secretary in Beijing.

Wang spoke highly of the results of Geithner's visit to China. He said that China and the US, as the largest developing and developed countries, share far more interests than differences.
