BEIJING, March 21 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice Premier Wang Qishan discussed economic issues with U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner by telephone on Wednesday.

The two exchanged opinions on a number of issues concerning China-U.S. economic relations, including preparations for discussions under the framework of the fourth round of the China-U.S. Strategic Economic Dialogue.

The officials also discussed the economic situation in Europe and other topics.
