Vice Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing Meets with Overseas Chinese in U.S. (02/04/02)

Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing met with overseas Chinese living in the States on February 3 in Washington, DC.

At the meeting, Li introducted to them  the recent developments in China’s opening and reform, economy, China-U.S. ties as well as international situation.

Li pointed out that China-U.S. relation has improved since Chinese President Jiang’s meeting with U.S. President Bush last October in Shanghai and that the two countries are now having a close cooperation on the war against terrorism.

The vice foreign minister is on a working visit to the United States. He arrived in Washington D.C. on February 2.
