Chinese Costume and Adornment Showcase

China is a time-honored country with many ethnic groups.  The 5000-year-old civilization has produced distinct dressing styles of various dynasties and ethnic groups.  Garments in the Qin and Han dynasties (221BC-220AD) were grandiose yet unsophisticated; those in the Sui and Tang dynasties (581-907) were ornate and elegant; those in the Song and Ming dynasties (960-1644) were refined and exquisite; those in the period of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) and Republic of China (1912-1949) were graceful and magnificent.  Meanwhile, each ethnic minority in China has retained its own traditional way of life, and the traditional clothes are rich in color with diversified features.
