Counselor Lyu Jin Speaking on the Belt-and-Road Initiative
at the Brookings Institution

Counselor Lyu Jin of the Chinese Embassy in the United States was invited to make a speech on the Belt-and-Road Initiative in ‘Global Finance’ Project hosted by Washington University in St. Louis and the Brookings Institution on May 14, 2018. Mr. Lyu briefed his audience on the background, policy implication and achievements of the Belt-and-Road Initiative, as well as the principles that the Chinese government sticks to when promoting the Initiative. Mr. Lyu also answered questions on China-US trade relations as well as how the two sides could cooperate under the framework of the Initiative.

Over 60 experts and students from the Washington University in St. Louis ‘Global Finance’ Project attended the event.
